2020 Social Distancing Photography Policy
/I have had several people reach out to me to see if I am taking pictures during this time. Originally, I rescheduled all of my April and May clients, however with so many missionaries and college students home, and family schedules WIDE open, I have had several people reach out asking for family photos.
After reviewing Governor Brown's Executive Order No. 20-12 (which, importantly, does not prohibit professional photography, but does require non-prohibited businesses to exercise proper social distancing) and looking for options for taking your pictures while complying with the order and maintaining proper social distancing practices, I have decided that if YOU are excited about having photos done and are not at risk, then I am willing and ready to come and take them!
In order to fully comply with the Governor's Order and social distancing policies, I am implementing the following practices to keep both of us safe while enabling you to capture your memories by photography.
At the core of this strategy is full implementation of social distancing practices:
I sanitize all photography equipment and my hands prior to each shoot, and my hands during the shoot as the occasion may require.
I will utilize long lenses enabling me to remain at a substantial distance (well beyond 6 feet) from you at all times during the session. If, for any unexpected reason, I need to come within 6 feet of you (I shouldn't need to, but just in case), I have a clean mask and sterile gloves that I will use.
I will make every effort to keep the length of your session as short as possible while still capturing the memories you want.
Each session must take place in the immediate vicinity of your home. This is preferably in your backyard, but close-by greenspaces in your neighborhood (without any crowds of people where we can comfortably maintain social distancing) are also fine.
I am also offering a 10% discount for all packages purchased during April (even if you schedule your shoot for later in the summer or fall).
If you are interested in having your family photos taken while everyone is home, and the weather is so nice--contact me today. Or, if you want to take advantage of the 10% off and schedule your session for later in the summer that is great too.
Finally, I created a GIANT list of things to do from home, especially with teens but a lot of the ideas could be for anyone who is bored out of their minds and looking for things to do:
